It's good to hear this again...

It is human nature to hide our sin or overlook our mistakes. But it is hard to learn from a mistake you don't acknowledge making. And what good is a mistake if it doesn't teach you something? To learn from an error you need to admit it, analyze it, and make adjustments so that it doesn't happen again. EVERYBODY MAKES MISTAKE, BUT ONLY FOOLS REPEAT THEM.

A man who remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed- without remedy. Proverbs 29:1

Making the same mistake over and over is an invitation to disaster. Eventually people have to face the consequences of refusing to learn. If their mistake is refusing God's invitation or rejecting his commands, the consequences will especially serious in the end. God may have to turn them away. Make sure you are not the stiff-necked.

A sinner's conscience will drive him either into guilt resulting in repentance or to death itself because of a refusal to repent. It is no act of kindness to make him feel better, The more guilt he feels , the more likely he is to turn to God and repent. If we interfere with the natural consequences of his act, we may make it easier for him to continue in sin.
